The subject of authority can sometimes be confusing, so let’s start by defining it. Strong’s Concordance says; privilege, delegated influence: W.E. Vines says this… "power of authority," the right to exercise power. I have heard one definition of authority that says authority is delegated power, and I think that is a very good description. Authority in itself is not power, but the bestowed right to use and yield that power...

Is it not strange that the leadership style of the most important person to ever walk this earth was never properly researched and developed?

How much do you think God Trusts you? What does God trust you with? Would you like more from God? Do you think you could handle more? What would you say is too much for you to handle? These and other ponder provoking questions could be part of a savvy Gallup or George Barna group survey but no. These are just small pieces in of one of the major points of development that God wants expanded in every believer. Stewardship.

The question I want to ask is why would we need to ask if our Father already knows the things we need? He knows all things. He knows the beginning from the end. Why ask?

Traditions are good, if put in the right place in our lives, but when it contradicts our faith in Jesus, it can be very dangerous. It can confuse us, if we are not grounded in the Word of God.

The Biblical definition of "landmark" is that which we generally understand by the word. It is a boundary marker. Firstly, it is important for us to know that we are greatly loved by God the Father. David had fled Jerusalem to avoid being assassinated by his son, Absolom, who coveted the throne. Crossing the Jordan River, he waited there until a report came of Absolom's defeat. Some forty years past I had to look up the word “apostasy.” In the Bible it refers to the church in the last days being influenced by faithlessness, liberalism and secularism. Sadly I have witnessed this trend gaining and now it is spiraling out of control.

Yesterday April 25, 2007 one of the most serious threats to religious freedoms and free speech wrangled its way through the Judiciary Committee. It has yet to undergo the scrutiny of the full house but Hate Crimes bill HR 1592 is the most serious threat to religious freedom since this country began.
