The Law of Sowing and Reaping Galatians 6:7 Don't be misled; remember that you can't ignore God and get away with it: a man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows! Through out God's Word there is much said about sowing and reaping. This is a spiritual law that can't be negated. The Living Bible says it so simply, a man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows... The Law of Sowing and Reaping pt. 2 In pt.1 of this study we primarily discussed the law of sowing. We talked about the seed and how God ordained seed to have life in itself from the very beginning starting in the book of Genesis. In this study I want to look at and focus in on reaping. There is much said in God's Word on this subject. Some have jumped in on this and said this is greedy Christianity... The Law of Sowing and Reaping pt. 3 In the third part of this study I would like to talk about obedience in giving and how God supernaturally increases our seed. Let's start again with the words of Jesus... Forsake Not! God by His Holy Spirit is saying through the writer of the book of Hebrews for us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. This was said as a commandment. Our Father knows what happens when we get out of fellowship with other believers. I know of many cases where people let the cares of this world come first and then they quit coming to Christian services , and the next thing you know they just slid away from God... The Least is the Greatest The disciples were always arguing over who should be called the greatest among them, but God sees things from a different perspective. Not necessarily the way we see ourselves. My question is what does God call great? The Fellowship of the Father Firstly, it is important for us to know that we are greatly loved by God the Father. We can’t come into any kind of a close personal relationship with some one including our Heavenly Father if we think that person is a mean ogre out to get us. This is totally opposite of the truth, and not at all what our Heavenly Father wants from us... Your Word God has given His children the awesome privilege of praying for guidance and direction, however if you are seeking guidance one of the first things you have to do is pick up your Bible and begin to read it... Why Ask The question I want to ask is why would we need to ask if our Father already knows the things we need? He knows all things. He knows the beginning from the end. Why ask? To Those Who Ask I would like to ask this same question of you, if you have received Jesus as your Savior then you are a child of God, and God is your Heavenly Father. If you asked your Heavenly Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit would He give it to you??? In His Presence I often talk and pray with people who seemed to have lost their joy. I know what that is like and also know that it doesn’t have to be that way. This is absolutely not God’s will for His children. His will is for His children to be joyful and strong in Him... In the Knowledge of God Through this divine revelation knowledge grace and peace is multiplied to us. Not just given to us but multiplied to us. I have found this to be true in my own faith walk, God doesn’t just give, He exponentially multiplies unto us. That’s the kind of God we serve. I love His kind of math... Our Spiritual Authority The subject of authority can sometimes be confusing, so let’s start by defining it. Strong’s Concordance says; privilege, delegated influence: W.E. Vines says this… "power of authority," the right to exercise power. I have heard one definition of authority that says authority is delegated power, and I think that is a very good description. Authority in itself is not power, but the bestowed right to use and yield that power... The Lordship of Jesus Christ When Peter stood and proclaimed this message on the day of Pentecost he didn’t have all of the revelation of the New Covenant that was to be revealed as time progressed. He stood up with the knowledge that Jesus was Lord and Christ. Are You a New Creation? Jesus died on the cross for you! He went to hell and defeated Satan for you! And in 3 days, the power of God raised Him from the dead as the first born of God. The first born again man, the first reborn man, the first new creation. Go to the Other Side Starting out with vs. 18. we see Jesus giving a command to depart to the other side. I would like to point out that it wasn’t a suggestion, it wasn’t a general statement of what He thought in His opinion should happen, but a very strong statement given as a command... Believe that you Receive God has gone to great lengths to purchase us back from Satan and eternal death, and to give us Eternal life. The very least we could do is to take the time to learn how to receive these very great and precious promises... Who Do You Say That I Am? Our Lord has a way of cutting right through the fluff and getting straight to what is important. Peter was really set up to answer this question. Actually, this was the most important question Peter was ever asked. In fact, it is the most important question any of us could ever be asked as well. Lets read the rest of this passage… Life and Peace God wants His creation to have His life. He went to great lengths to establish a covenant that could bring man back to the place where he could again have His life. This means that man would once again have God’s life, and because he had God’s life he would have the authority to walk in it in such a way as death could no longer have dominion over him... Faith Speaks This is our instruction for being born again. It is also the foundation to receiving all of God’s promises. What is faith if not acted upon? As the Word, we just read, and as the title of this lesson indicates, faith must speak. Believing in your heart, and then speaking out of your mouth brings God’s promise to pass. Fulfilling God’s Purpose We all have a purpose and a destiny for our lives whether we know it or not. Truly, our purpose is to fulfill the will of God, but in order to do that we have to know what the will of God is before we can begin to walk in it... An Attitude of Gratitude Having a grateful attitude opens up doors for more of Gods blessings. Such As I Have This is a very well know verse of Scripture from the book of Acts, there is even a song we used to sing back in the day. I have seen some new light in this area that has been stirring my spirit recently, and I hope will stir yours as well. Let’s read the entire passage of Scripture... The Power of Patience Patience is the enabler to our faith, the ability to hold on to our faith when all seems lost. It allows our faith to endure. In other words, we will not give up our faith in the face of whatever comes our way, no matter how long it takes. Called to Conquer Pt.1 This may come as a revelation to many Christians, but we are not supposed to be punching bags for the devil, this is not what God called us to be. He called us to be conquerors and to walk in victory over every adversity... Called to Conquer Pt.2 Jesus has already defeated Satan, yet he is still in this world and he still has power. However his authority has been taken away. He no longer has the authority to use that power, we are the spiritual police that have been placed here to enforce God's plan for this Earth. .. Called to Conquer Pt.3 In this study let's look at the ultimate goal of a conqueror. That is to take and inhabit the land that God has called us into. What would be accomplished if we could take the land, but not inhabit and maintain what we have been given? To Him Who Believes What an incredible statement. If it wasn't said by the lord Jesus Himself then it might be a little hard to swallow, but here it is in black and white for all who will receive... Jesus our Jubilee This time of year as we celebrate the Christmas season, and the birth of our Savior, we mustn’t loose sight of the reason for His coming. He came to restore mankind to the Father. He came to destroy the works of the devil. He came to give life, and give it more abundantly... The Implanted Word I believe most Christians would say that they would want their faith to work or have faith that produces. I believe God wants us to walk in faith even more than we do... The Effect Of Righteousness I have a question to ask, have you ever considered that righteousness has an effect? The prophet Isaiah said it is quietness and trust or assurance forever. The Greater One Within This should be the heart cry of every believer. The greater One lives within me. It is because of the greater One that lives within me that I am victorious. It is because of the greater One that lives within me that that I am successful. It is because of the greater One that dwells within me that causes me to triumph in every circumstance of life... Resolutions Loose weight, exercise more, spend less, save more, keep the house cleaner, eat better. Do these sound familiar? They are examples of New Year’s resolutions. How many of us have decided to do one of these in the next year, loose weight, eat better, exercise more, or one of the others? I know I have so many times in the past. Somehow, each year many of us start out on the right track, but loose our resolve and end up not keeping a single resolution we made. Am I the only one this applies to? The Obedience of Faith I would like to ask a question. What good is faith if not acted upon? The Truth Have you ever stopped to consider that without absolute truth we could have not have absolute confidence? You might be saying what do you mean. I mean that if we could not have absolute assurance in something, then we could have not have confident expectation of that which we are wanting to see come to pass. Prayer Changes Things Pt. 1 An anxious heart will not be able to receive the promises of God by faith. Be anxious for nothing. Do not have any anxiety about anything, as one translation says. Then you can make your request made known to God, and the desired result will be peace of mind and heart. Prayer Changes Things Pt. 2 Prayer changes things. Prayer does not change God! We know His Word tells us there is no variation of change in Him. Circumstances can change, but God won’t! The Author and Finisher Even when we feel all alone, we are not. His Word says He will never leave us or forsake us. He is always there assisting, encouraging, leading, comforting, giving direction, and disciplining, as needed. Called to Pray In today’s political climate, many are turned away by all the negativity and are disgusted with everything that is going on. So much so, that they just want to throw up their hands, close their eyes, and hope things will just get better by themselves. It just doesn’t work that way... Occupy Till I Come When you look at the modern church, you see it is busy as a whole, but are they accomplishing what God has given to them? Is the church occupying, or is it just setting on its laurels of past glories and waiting for the Lord to return... Why the Tithe Many have said that tithing has been done away with, and that it is for the Old Covenant only. They say it has no part of the New Covenant, and that it is legalistic and holds us in bondage. I would like to take a look at this from a Biblical perspective, and try to see the truth of God's Word and find out, why the tithe? Your Blessed Place So many Christians walk away from their God given place of blessing, that I have felt a deep sense of grief in my spirit. I know it must grieve the Lord. It should not and does not have to be this way. Your Blessed Place Pt. 2 We all have gifts and they should be used in conjunction with other gifts within the body to fulfill the plan and purpose of God within that local body. In fulfilling our purpose we not only fulfill the plan for ourselves, but also contribute to the greater plan God has called us to complete within the body of Christ as a whole. Fear Not The stock market is in chaos, the cost of oil and food have fluctuated all over the place. Our 401K s have taken a big hit, many have lost a great portion of their retirement and the future seems very insecure, and in the midst of all of this, men’s hearts are failing them for fear. Yet, there is good news in the midst of these things.
