Carolyn Kenney's Articles

  • The Presence of Jesus
The golden sun was spectacular as birds flew gracefully above and around it. Peace and tranquility permeated my soul; I could stay here forever. As I gazed at the silent splendor before me, I thought back 2000 years ago. On these waters, Peter and Andrew made their living before being called to become “fishers of men.”
  • God of Infinite Love
God is present in the whisper of the wind, in the soft petal of the flower and in the steady hands of the surgeon as new life comes into the world. He speaks to us in so many different ways, but we are deaf to His voice due to the demands of the world around us. He speaks to us in the simple joy of spending time with our families. However, we are too busy at work or school to notice one another. He speaks to us in the smile of the stranger we pass on the street. Do w e notice Him?
  • Quiet Contemplation
In the stillness of the church, a priest kneels in quiet contemplation before the tabernacle. We witness genuine holiness as he kneels in humble adoration before Jesus, truly alive within the sacred sanctuary. Jesus is the one, true and everlasting love of this priest. The heart of God and the heart of priest unite.

  • Simon's Walk to Calvary
"Simon reached down and picked up the cross. He thought to himself, what wood was used to make this cross? It is unbelievably heavy! Simon straightened up and with a tremendous sigh, heaved the cross onto his shoulder."

These stirring words are from Ms. Kenney's article "Simon's Walk to Calvary." Read more of this article and feel the pain of Jesus as He walked to Calvary. Feel Simon's understanding and love for His God as he helped carry His cross.
