  • First Christmas by Alastair Macdonald – A Classic is Born  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
A book review generally consists of a perusal of the writer’s style, the story line and the flow and the viability of the subject matter. That would be nearly impossible with Alastair Macdonald’s “First Christmas.” Both the birth of Christ and the birth of Macdonald’s book hold far too much for one brief review. Here is part one of two or perhaps three.
  • An Apology to Every U.S. Serviceman or Soldier  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
With masks and dark glasses to hide their faces they set fire to a uniformed effigy of a United States soldier. In the frenzy an upside down American flag was lit on fire as well. Was this the Hezbollah or Al Queda, was this Palestine or Syria? No, these were American “peace” protesters in Portland Oregon.
  • It Took a Banker to Show Me What Jesus Was Talking About  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
I always had a picture in the recesses of my mind of the soldier dying for his country. I could see the fireman expiring in a blaze after saving others. Then I saw a banker who saved others and died right before my eyes.
  • Void in the "City of the Saints"  By : C. Dakota
A young man's journey brings him to a place unfamiliar and filled with darkness, a city that is dominated by an eerie darkness and built on or around a religion designed by man. As the darkness smothers the young man he escapes to the only place he can, his “Place of Rest”.
  • Why Naaman was Healed - by Josprel  By : Josprel
It was through a little girl's trust in God and her compassion for the one who enslaved her that the commanding general of Syria's army was brought in contact with God's healing power. Refusing to succumb to her bitter plight, she became the initiator of his healing from leprosy.
  • Bread Upon The Waters  By : Josprel
A barroom brawl was instrumental to our introduction. He was twenty-six years old. As an infant, he lost his soldier father on a battlefield. Everyone who knew his Oriental mother, praised her as a wonderful Christian. She had done her best to instill this quality in her son. In most respects, she succeeded. Sadly, in his early teens, she died, too. Then, he had no one but himself.
  • A MAN OF FAITH  By : Josprel
Geroge Mueller began a ministry to the orphans of England, never asking help from anyone, never hinting that help was ever needed. In answer to his believing prayers alone, $7,500,000 was sent to him for building “God’s Orphanage,” for missionary enterprises and for the circulation of Scriptures. (It should be noted that these amounts were in the monetary values of the 1800s – the equivalents of which would be millions more in our generation).
  • The Home of Forgotten Kings  By : Josprel
David had fled Jerusalem to avoid being assassinated by his son, Absolom, who coveted the throne. Crossing the Jordan River, he waited there until a report came of Absolom's defeat. He then dispatched a message to some of his subjects who had remained unharmed in Jerusalem. The message was directed to the leaders of the tribe of Judah, David's own tribe - his own relatives, which in effect asked, "Why haven't you expressed a desire for my return? Why haven't you brought me back as your king.
  • The Pastor of the No-Fault Church  By : Josprel
Polycarp, a pupil of the Apostle John, was the pastor of the Smyrna church at the writing of the Book of Revelation. He personified the uncompromising steadfastness of the church at Smyra. He encouraged this stance in his congregation.
  • Horses in Heaven  By : Josprel
THERE ARE HORSES IN HEAVEN! What a childlike statement. In our quest for profundity, we tend to relegate such simple themes to the realm of allegory. We feel foolish conferring on them a serious voice. But, with infinite unpretentiousness, God anoints simplicity to seed His Word in receptive hearts.
  • Maximum Security: Attica!  By : Josprel
When Josprel first began his many years of ministry in the town of Attica, New York, the location of one of the most horrific prison rebellions in America's history, he possessed an extremely negative mindset regarding prison ministry. It required a work of God in his heart to change that mindset.
  • The Agnostic Violinist  By : Josprel
Though he never used the term, Paul, a violinist, was an agnostic. He claimed no one could know a God existed. He even attempted unsuccessfully to prevent his wife, Sara, from attending her church. Then Tony, his closest friend, was converted and Paul's views on God and religion changed,
