Weight Release God's Way- Little by Little

Scripture to meditate on: For who has despised the day of small things. Zechariah 4:10

Is your weight release taking longer than you hoped? Do you find that it takes an incredible amount of discipline and self-control to lose just one pound? It can be an extremely frustrating experience, but don’t lose heart. Slow and deliberate baby steps are the best way to ensure permanent and successful weight loss.

Most of us are not enthusiastic about the thought of slow weight release by small incremental steps, but it really is the best way. Studies show that 95% of people who lose weight rapidly through extreme dieting or strategies that approach starvation will tend to make you put the weight back on, ultimately.

The best way to achieve successful and permanent weight loss is through consistent exercise, changes in habits and behavior, and decreasing caloric intake. Couple those methods with the ultimate personal trainer -- the Holy Spirit -- and you have the perfect formula to help you manage your weight for the rest of your life.

Remember how God multiplied the little boys’ lunch of five barley loaves and two small fish into enough food to feed 5,000?

Or how He chose to build His church upon a rock? God actually delights in the small things. He wants our submission; He wants us to be able to say, “I am weak but He is strong.” God wants our obedience and when He sees that we trust him in the small things is when He begins to take over to help us accomplish things that we could never accomplish in our own strength.

Don't get frustrated with small steps and small changes. Just continue to take those small steps in faith and watch God do the rest. He promises that we will reap a harvest if we faint not.
