Human Folly

By: Ransomed ransom

HUMAN FOLLY

How vain and misplaced is human desire
To hold on to, to possess, to beautify
We stand as witnesses to the inevitable one
Yet hold we so firmly to momentary fun.

We see all things just pass us by
How cruel death sings lullaby
Not ever she spares a breathing soul
The one who steals our very own.

In grave’s dark belly we are bound to lie
With no one to hear our lonely cry
No fresh air to breath, no sun lit sky
Nothing to groom, to beautify

It was to free us from this our destiny
That Christ the Godman came searching you and me
The one who rose up from the dead
Can free us too from this our dread!
