Great Faith part 1

By: TOROSBC

God introduces himself to Moses as "I AM" because it leaves no room for anything else. If we do not know Him we will follow man's successes even if that man is of God.

There is nothing from the earth that Christ will give you. All our blessings come from the spiritual place in Christ. All that Christ will give you is eternal. God has made provision on the earth for the temporal things we need through the church our brothers and sisters. The Kingdom society should be functioning at a level where it can provide for each other through the revelation of Christ.

Christ = God in flesh. We cannot do anything he did without Him yet we are trying to do just that. To become a possessor of all things, do not chase the things. Simply abide with the possessor of all things.

Exodus 24: 9-18

v.16 God called Moses on the 7th day because He wanted to show how He intended to abide in man. The seventh day is not temporary; in that day you are so fixed in God and God is so fixed in you that the habitation of man and God is seamless.

On the seventh day, God begins to reveal to Moses the plans for the tabernacle. The technology for himself to abide with his chosen people. The tabernacle was the tangible substance of God in the OT shadow. Israel could not neglect the tangibility of the tabernacle. That mysterious building hidden with symbolic meaning became the power base of their society.

They had both victory and defeat based on how they treated the substance of the tabernacle because it was holy. Upon the building and the furniture, all were pronounced holy by the divine administration of the blood. Israel's whole new identity was wrapped up in the revelation in substance. They saw God abide in the tabernacle, they personally witnessed God in their midst. And God called that substance holy. He pronounced upon that which was built for him holy. The almighty "I AM" had come to abide. Thus the substance was in their midst, and was to revolutionize the way they saw themselves. More then slaves from the bondage of Egypt, but a perculiar people sought out and chosen by God's mercy.

Exodus 19 Here we find the cause of the peoples failure, when almighty God introduced himself to Israel on mount Sinai, his servant Moses told the people not to be frightened because God was communicating his holiness to them for their benefit. Nonetheless the people rejected this and did not ascend to recieve the real substance.

If you do not pursue and enter that place then you will look from a distance and be threatened by it. If you do not come up the mountain when this abode is made available to you then you will have no capacity to live in it when it is brought down. Only those who partook on the mountain (Moses, aaron, Joshua, elders and other leaders) will be changed. What the vleaders partook in was a higher quality then what was ultimately bought down to the people. Moses brought down the tabernacle, the material substance that foreshadowed the real, and cautioned the people in the way they put their hands to that temporary substance. Paul the apostle later tells us, do not lay hands suddenly on men, for are they not the chosen temple of God.

The lessons of the divine are as high as the stratosphere, only one who is pure can understand them, only Christ who is from above can bring the wisdom from above to men who live in the depths beneath. However what was lost in the fading glory of the previous covenant, is not lost in the new covenant. Where Moses could not bring the people up to Sinai, Christ can and does bring us to Zion.

What Christ comes to reveal in his descending to the earth, what he desires we touch and taste is the tangibility of his perfect humanity in death. He shows us that it is not enough just to be sinless, but the end of the Fathers will is men of the same holy substance as his son. Such is the lesson taught to the Israelites, only through death in the outer court could they touch the holy substance of the tabernacle. Only through death personally by the bearing of the cross, can a man interact with the holiness of God in Christ.

Whilst the tabernacle provided this, Israel however could not share in true death and so could not share in true life. Israel suffered through the law as a child suffers under a school master, struggling as servants although called as sons. Their very history unravels for us examples of warfaring with the Holy, when he who calls, calls you to be the very substance of holiness. Such as the tabernacle although of substance could not manifest fully the entire will of the Father.

Praise the Lord for his Christ, his anointed one, he gives the power for us to die, yes there is a power needed for death as much as one for life. The bondage and fear of death that overides the man's will to die a righteous death. Men are so in bondage that they would rather die as sinners then die as saints. Does there not then need a power greater to be provided so that men would accept righteous death through the sovreign will of the creator. Christ states "not my will but thy will". Yes we can in his baptism, share in the power of obedience likened to his death so that we might share in his life.

The importance of keeping that which God has provided comes through our sharing of it by revelation from the place he has chosen. We cannot keep such holy things, if we have not died to get it, if we have not been crucified to touch it. Only through death can we participate in life.

The quality and power of Christ to his church.

Genesis 2: 22-25
They become one flesh because they are of the same substance. If Eve had not accepted Adam's pronouncement she would not have been suitable for him. Adam was created in God's image so he was looking for God in her. We must identify ourselves with the Lord on the basis of being taken out of Him. As Eve was extracted from Adam without lessening in substance we too have been brithed out of Christ, we are not less in substance but equal. So when Christ declares who we are, we cannot reject it. To confess yourself as Christ's bride is to recognise that you are not of this earth.

The becoming one flesh is because they both recognise themselves to be of the same nature. We must walk in light of the Lord's pronouncement in spite of our experiences. Due to the fallen nature and its deceiving spirits we will happily marry death rather than believe the words of our Bridegroom.

Luke 24:36
There is a place where we are discussing other people's experiences of Christ but we must then meet Christ for ourselves. Christ prefers people to talk with Him not about Him. He wants us to be the vehicle for Him to talk to people. This is because He is with us and to be effective in this we must be conscious of it. Peace only comes from a union.

v.39 He invites the disciples to touch Him in order for then to see that He was of the substance to them. The witnessing is the touching, eating and sharing with Christ. He is so real to you that it overrides everything else. If everything else overrides Christ then he is merely a ghost to you. There is no blood because it was shed in the earth and sprinkled in the heavens so that we will always have access to Him, and experience his tangibility through faith.

Prayer involves the whole man - spirit, soul and body. God wants all because He shares all. The quality of what is revealed in this house must show you your holiness. Once we understand this we can open our mouths and Christ will speak and the words he speaks will be tangible to others.

When Christ speaks men encounter the realisation of being saved in the entire man, not just a part. Thus we must touch Christ entirely so that our gospel might be the very same salvation. One that saves to the upmost, spirit, soul and body. Preserving the man in Christ spirit, soul and body.
