God’s Antivirus Program

By: Joanne Lowe

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”

John 19: 30
King James Version

Most of us who own computers have an antivirus program. However, sometimes the program may fail to update and a virus invades the computer. The virus can wipe out all our files and they are gone for good.

The world and satan tries to attack us daily with their viruses of hatred, prejudice, criticism, judgment, and holier than thou attitudes. When Jesus died on the cross for us, we received a permanent Antivirus Program from satan through the Precious Blood of Jesus. Just as we have to do updates on the antivirus on our computer, we have to do updates with our heart to be sure we are in right standing with Jesus.

Many times we allow the opinions of someone else to keep us from serving Jesus. If you have surrendered your life in full-time service to Him, satan will attack you with every virus he has available. We need to daily and sometimes hourly allow Jesus to take away the bitterness and hurt from our hearts.

Many of the computer antivirus programs have to be purchased. The Blood of Jesus which keeps the viruses of satan away from us is free to us, but it cost Jesus His Life. Do you have this Precious Blood applied to your heart? Have you said “Yes” to Jesus? Open your heart to Jesus and let Him protect you from the viruses of satan and the world.
