Carnal man in the midst part 6

By: TOROSBC

Reference scripture: Luke 24: 36 - 48, John 20:19-31, Revelations 1:1718, 1 John 4:17, Ephesians4:11-13, Colossians 1:27

"And as they thus spake Jesus himself stood in the midst of them and said unto them Peace be unto you"

This series has focused upon the bases in which the Adamic man of duplicity may be conquered so we might produce the fruit of righteousness wrought by Christ as we abide in Christ. It is fitting to study the account of our Lord's resurrection because it speaks of the revelation afforded to us after his death as the last Adam. Hence our revelation of the death of the last Adam provides the consciousness of the revelation of the resurrected Christ in our midst. It is this revelation that supersedes the former binding and removing the old life and releasing with power the new life.

Hence as the new resurrected man, Jesus' first words to his disciples and to us are "peace", arbitrary of their response because of the fact of his work wrought on their behalf.

But they were terrified and affrighted and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? And why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

Christ questions their response and behaviour because of the power of his work. Peace because the hostility has been removed in him when he died, and as he lives in our midst as the resurrected man, we are to live in the consciousness of the reality of his tangible life communicating the purpose of his death. (As he is so are we)

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he had thus spoken, he showed them his hands and his feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And he took it, and did eat before them.

Hence Jesus resurrected shows the disciples and us the reality of his death so that we might never forget the death of the first Adamic dualistic nature and the abolishment of the carnal law to which we were joined in marriage.

Revelations 1:1718 - "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead, And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death"

The blessed reality of our death having a purpose in Christ is significant because it is found in his marriage to us in the new covenant. The same utterance came from Balaam when he stated; ""Oh that I might die the death of the righteous", Hence the dying of John as the Apostle of the lamb (carrying his cross to Patmos) is seen here when he falls as dead before Christ. It was because of his consecration to and in Christ that he was afforded such a revelation of Christ.

Only in a man who carries his cross in the same way as his new master, can the same man receive the right hand of fellowship from the one who shares his death with us. Fear not; do not tremble but have peace in the knowledge of my will being accomplished through you. What is the tangible ongoing experience of that will?

"I am the first and the last: I am he that lives and was dead, but behold I am alive forevermore"

I am The continuing ever present reality of redemption to us now and forevermore.

I am the first The express image and radiance of the father, the new man the first fruit.
I am the last He is the last, the last Adam, the seed that died to bring forth fruit.
I am he that lives The one who tabernacled with man to reveal God's marvellous purpose to man that had been cut short.
And was dead; The seed that fell to the ground so that he might open up the way for man.
Behold I am alive The man in Christ may now enter into the ever conscious reality of eternal life
forevermore; forever.
Amen Hence that fact is now settled. Finished in fact, in reality, let it commence in life and experience for all men. Hallelujah.

In the text we also find that Christ desires that we are conscious of the new motions of his righteousness coursing through us by virtue of the new covenant he has begun. He interacts with us showing his death as the new man so that we might be fully conscious of his life having full dominion over sin and death in him and through us. As we abide in him, then we are afforded by revelation in the inner man the consciousness of him abiding in us in fullness.

Paul states; "Christ in you the hope of glory". Hallelujah!

"And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me"

Hence the living resurrected Christ begins to install in their consciousness of him, the reality of the scriptures coming to life through his tabernacling, death, resurrection and ascension. These revelations are bound in the Old Testament locked in the Law the prophets and the psalms.

This only serves to buttress Paul's point about the carnal law, from the time it was instituted through Moses all that came thereafter was veiled, and could not be experienced in totality. Hence the lives of the men after Moses, such as David and the prophets foreshadowed the real substance of Christ. The scriptures could only point to the fullness of time when Christ would come.

Hence the same account in John states "And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost"

Whilst Luke states: Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

Hence there is no contradiction between the scriptures. Christ as the prophetic fulfilment of the scriptures as the resurrected man speaks words that are spirit and they are life. They are filled with the creative power of the Holy Spirit who charges the reality of the tangible living resurrected Christ in the inner man of the disciples so that they might be fortified with his resurrected strength and walk assured of their redemption.

"Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things"

We are witnesses afforded by the revelation of his death, As Christ presents his hands and his feet he shows himself to us bearing the resurrected proof of the finality of sin in the flesh and the abolishment of the law, we are witnesses to this fact by revelation.

Hence the church is the witness of the living resurrected Christ who has redeemed men from the duplicity of the Adamic nature bound by the carnal law in his insufficiency. Hence we are witnesses by virtue of the same work that was wrought in Christ having been wrought in us that we might have power through Christ to continue in the greater work of demolishing the work of Satan binding man continually in the dualistic nature of sin and the inability of fulfilling the carnal law.

The bases of our gospel is the power of Christ whose name has been exalted above every name because he is the only solution for the law of sin and death, He is the one who abolishes the middle wall created as a result of the extreme natures. His revelation to man is the gospel of peace, thus he is our peace who has broken down the middle wall.
