Artistic Creation

At times we feel that we're not of much value,
ordinary, ugly or plain,
Not happy with the way we look,
viewing ourselves with disdain,
Feeling like we are insignificant,
not really of much worth,
Wondering if any difference was made
by the simple fact of our birth.

We need to take time to remember
in whose image we were made,
By the One whose majestic splendor
in creation is displayed,
The Artist who made the flowers and trees,
mountain, river and sea,
Butterflies, rainbows - all the beauty of nature -
also made you and me!
